We are currently looking for fully qualified ECE Teachers to support, lead and mentor the Educators within our service – Mo Tatou In-home Early Childhood Education & Care. Positions are currently available in the Porirua and Hutt Valley locations.

Visiting Teachers should be passionate in imparting important strategies and information to Educators, so that they may use this knowledge to nurture the growth, development and learning of the children in their education and care.

Mo Tatou In-home Early Childhood Education & Care is built around three themes and centred around children:

The first is parent’s identifying a person that they trust within their family, extended family or community to become an Educator and to support pre-school children in their own language and culture.

Secondly, to supply an income, professional development and pathways to higher education or career aspirations for the Educators that provide education and care in a safe and welcoming home environment.

And lastly to provide parents / family / caregivers and whanau support in connecting them to their child’s education and identifying community and government services that may assist them with dealing with the everyday challenges of life.

Ideal requirements of this role:

• Must have full Teacher Registration
• Experience as a home based Visiting Teacher/Coordinator ideal
• At least 2 years work experience within an early childhood education setting
• Competent in the use of technology; eg: smart phone, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
• Must have a full drivers licence and reliable car
• Evidence of working with adult learners
• Comfortable in working within an environment where English is not always the first language
• Fluency in a Pasifika language would be an advantage
• An honest, self-starting and self-managing individual
• Great communicator a must

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
